Detailed Itinerary For Mera Peak Climbing Expedition
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel
On the very first day of the trek, everybody will land in Kathmandu. A member from The Trek Nepal will take you to your hotel, where you will have the much-needed rest.
Interested individuals can go for the city tour with the guide, while others are allowed to rest in their hotel rooms.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and trek preparation
The 2nd day of the trek is all about sightseeing and enjoying the view. Having said that, the early morning breakfast will make way for sightseeing in the valley. We will be visiting some of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.
During this experience, we will understand the culture and religion of Nepal. On the other hand, the Trek Nepal team will be collecting all the required permits for the trek.
Day 3: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Chhuthang
Things start to roll in the Mera Peak expedition Nepal on the 3rd day. We will be ready to take the early morning flight to Lukla. It will be a 35-minute flight with the most beautiful views.
As soon as we land in Lukla, we will push through for the trek to Chhuthang. Passing around the Kalo Himal ridge, we will move ahead with the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. Lastly, we will reach Chhuthang.
Day 4: Trek from Chhuthang to Tuli Kharka through Zatrawal Pass
The elevation in the trek starts to rise right from today. We will cut through a Himalayan high pass today, named Zatrawal Pass. Try and stay hydrated all through the day as we will reach Zatrawal Pass for the first stop.
There will be mountain views of Lumdung Himal, Karyolang Peak, Kongdi Ri, Numbur Himal, etc. As we descend from this location, we will be reaching Tuli Kharka. This move will be presented by the trails of Chhatre.
Day 5: Trek from Tuli Kharka to Kothe

It is a small village with limited settlement. This scenic place will lead us to reach Thangnak. It is a summer pastureland for the animals with several teahouses along the way. We will find a cozy teahouse and spend the night in Thangnak.
Day 7: Trek from Thangnak to Khare
For the first time in the Mera Peak Expedition Nepal we will be touching down on 5000m today. It will be Khare’s elevation. Starting the day early, we will get into the steep moraines of the Dig glacier. We will make our way towards Dig Kharka now.
Moving ahead, you will find Hinku Nup and Shar glaciers, which will show the way to Khare. The final push to Khare seems harder due to the steep climb that will be present for everyone to see.
Day 8: Acclimatization at Khare
For the first time in 7 days, we will be having the rest. After touching down on 5000m, we will rest and let our bodies adapt to the changing conditions.
The Trek Nepal team will stay together for the day and explore the local villages as well. Slight physical activity will be performed with a full day of rest.
Day 9: Trek from Khare to Mera High Camp
A full day of rest means that we will have to move ahead for the day. Today, we will be touching down in glory. Yes Mera Peak expedition Nepal will move to the high camp today.
The snowy trails will be walked today to see the beauty of the peak. After reaching the base camp, we will go higher. Reaching the high camp, we will have beautiful views of Lhotse, Everest, Makalu, Nuptse, etc.
Day 10: Climb to Mera Peak and descend down to Khare
Yes, the day has finally come. The Mera Peak expedition will happen today. In order to reach the top of the mountain, we will start early. It is important to reach the peak before 12 pm to avoid all the winds. As we reach there, it will be more about enjoying the view.
After spending some luxury time at the top, we will have to get back down. There is no right place to stay anywhere else, so we have to get back to Khare for the day. The warm comfort of the teahouse in Khare will feel welcoming.
Day 11: Trek from Khare to Kothe
We will be in a celebratory mood as the Trek Nepal team has done the Mera Peak climb. But we will have to get back to tracing our steps. It will be from Khare to Kothe for today.
First of all, we will cross Hinku Nup and Share glaciers. It will be an easier walk back with the summer grassland of Thangnak right around us. The final stretch of the day will be about the beautiful Kothe village.
Day 12: Trek from Kothe to Tuli Kharka
We will be getting closer to Tuli Kharka for the day. It will be an easy day for the Mera Peak expedition in Nepal. A carbohydrate-rich breakfast means that we will move ahead. Crossing through the rhododendron and pine forest, we will reach ahead.
With the views of Mera Peak around us, we will move ahead to cross the Hinku ridge. Finally, the gradual ascent will take us to Tuli Kharka.
Day 13: Trek from Tuli Kharka to Lukla
Slow and steady, we are leaving the Mera Peak expedition Nepal behind us. The target for the day is reaching Lukla, and we will start early. Breakfast in the morning will take us towards the Zatrawala pass.
7 hours of the trek will mean that we will cross Tuli Kharka and go ahead. Finally, we will be reaching Lukla, where we will spend the night.
Day 14: Flight to Kathmandu from Lukla
Technically, it will be the last day for the Mera Peak expedition in Nepal as we leave Lukla behind us. After the early morning breakfast, we will move ahead with the flight to Kathmandu. A scary yet interesting flight awaits us.
We will be on the flight for 35 minutes only to reach Kathmandu by midday. Interested trekkers are allowed to go for the city tour, while others can rest as they wish.
Day 15 Departure for the home nation
Finally, the day has arrived when we will be leaving each other’s company. It will be the day when we will be leaving for our home country.
