12-Day Everest Base Camp Trek

The itinerary kind of revolves around:

  • Day 1: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding

The first day of the trek starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. It will be a short flight with an aesthetic landing. As we land in Lukla, we will start the trek towards Phakding.

  • Day 2: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

On the 2nd morning, we will be starting the trek towards Namche Bazaar. A beautiful walk through a pine forest and alongside Dudh Koshi means that the journey is beautiful. You will be getting views of Mount Thamseku and later of Sagarmatha National Park. By the end, we will be in the Namche Bazaar region.

  • Day 3: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar

The 3rd day is all about rest and acclimatization. We will spend the day resting and also visiting Khunde for a short hike.

  • Day 4: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

A dusty and windy day awaits you. The views might be dreamy, but the day can be hard. Stupas, prayer flags, and Mani Walls are some of the focus points on this day. By the end of the day, we will be reaching Tengboche monastery.

  • Day 5: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

You will be visiting the oldest monastery of Buddhism today. Through the alpine forest to Upper Pangboche, we will be around the Tsuro Wog villages. Mountains like Taboche, Mount Thamserku, Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Nuptse, Mount Cholatse, and Mount Lhotse will be in your view.

  • Day 6: Acclimatization in Dingboche

As we touch the 4400m, we will be focusing on a rest day. The acclimatization process includes visiting Dingboche and Chhukung village in the process. Short hikes will be the focus for the day.

  • Day 7: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

We climb through the Khumbu Khola valley to Duglha. The route is tough as you will be going through memorial flags and stones in memory. Khumbuste, Lingtren, and Pumori will be guiding you through Lobuche.

  • Day 8: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep and EBC

The most important day in yoga certification with the Everest Base Camp trek is today. You will be hitting the ground running with Gorakshep being the target. You will have a 360-degree view of the mountains and walk past Gorakshep. The EBC trek is today, and the stunning views will mesmerize you.

  • Day 10: Trek from Pheriche to Namche

As you fall back into the trek, it will be easier. Trekkers will be following the same routes down to the Khumbu Khola region. The walk will take you down to Pheriche and later to Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 11: Trek from Namche to Phakding

The trek will be steeply downward today. We will be crossing around Dudh Koshi River. The trail is tough, so we walk slowly. Climbing through a suspension bridge, the journey will go through Phakding.

  • Day 12: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

This will be the hardest day as we will be returning to Kathmandu. The flight will be from Lukla, and it is a short flight that will take you to the destination.
