Detailed Itinerary For Pikey Peak Trekking
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
The first day of the trek will be all about arriving in Kathmandu. A member from The Trek Nepal will be present at the airport to pick you up.
From there on, you will be directly transferred to your hotel. You can either roam the city with the guide or spend the rest of the day in your hotel room.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar
After the early morning healthy breakfast, the Pikey Peak trekking gets fully started. On the first morning, we will drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar. The beautiful road will be alongside the Sunkoshi River.
8 hours of the drive means that we will reach Dhap Bazaar by the end of the day. Dynamic landscapes, thick forests, terraced fields, and a flowing river will be our partners for the rest of the day.
Day 3: Trek from Dhap Bazaar to Jhapre

A day filled with 6 hours of trek means that we will pass Mani walls first. Several yak homes, woodland tracks will welcome you. Passing the slope, we will hit Taklung Danda and lastly reach the Pikey Peak base camp.
Day 5: Trek from Base Camp to Summit and descend to Jasmane Bhanjyang
A beautiful and tiring day is right ahead. The trekking team will be reaching the height of Pikey peak trekking. We will be at the top of Pikey Peak today, which stands at 4065m.
It will be an early morning trek to see the sunrise from Pikey Peak. From the likes of Mount Everest to Thamserku, there is much more to know and appreciate. There will be plenty of 8000m peaks here. Slowly, we will enjoy the top view and return back to Jasmane Bhanjyang.
It’s hard to leave behind the views of Lhotse, Makalu, Annapurna, Everest, etc, but we have to. Reaching beyond 4000m, we will have to drop to 3500m only to stay the night.
Day 6: Trek from Jasmane Bhanjyang to Junbesi
Yes, we are leaving the peak behind now for the Pikey Peak trekking. The early morning breakfast will hint to us to go through the meadows and head towards Junbesi. First, we will reach Taktor, where we eat lunch.
The journey moves ahead to a gravel road into the Junbesi region. There is an opportunity to visit the Buddhist monastery, but it depends on you. You can see beautiful tea houses, stupas in the region. The team spends the night in Junbesi.
Day 7: Rest day at Junbesi
After almost a week of tough trekking days, we will have a rest at Junbesi. After completing the early morning breakfast, we will head down to Thuptenchholing monastery.
Some of the trekkers can also go to the Everest viewpoint and enjoy the day there. It will be a totally rest day, whereby you will have beautiful views all around you.
Day 8: Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu
The journey of the Pikey Peak trekking is slowly coming to a close. The early morning breakfast means that we will head toward Junbesi Khola today. Crossing the bridge, we will reach Beni Ghat, and later we will arrive at Phaplu.
It will be a 6-hour trek, which shouldn’t be too hard at all. The journey to Phaplu is filled with picturesque views and outstanding surroundings. Upon reaching Phaplu, we will visit the traditional Sherpa culture and enjoy our time with local food and drink.
Day 9: Drive back to Kathmandu from Phaplu
On the 9th day of the trek, we will leave the last trace of the Pikey Peak trekking. Today we will be driving back to Kathmandu, leaving Phaplu behind. The drive will begin early in the morning, and it will be a long journey ahead.
Crossing beautiful views, terraced landscapes, and brilliant rivers, we will reach the capital by midday. It will be an 8-hour drive. Interested individuals can roam the city with the help of tourist guides.
Day 10: Departure to the home country
The time has come when we will have to end the overall trekking experience. Today, the tourists will depart for their respective homes.
