Anyone who is interested in the Yala peak trek and the summit of the mountain has to do it in the pre-monsoon season. This falls during March to April and October to November.

The seasons like spring and autumn fall in this period. Not only that you also get to experience the beautiful mountains and greenery all around. Mild temperatures, good climate, and preferable sunlight are what make this time the best.

Trekkers will also find the crisp weather, but what they should be careful of is the issue of overcrowding. Being the peak season, trekkers are honing in on it. So be careful for it.

How Difficult Is the Yala Peak Trek?

The readers who are thinking about the Yala peak trek must know it is quite easy. The mountain demands that you have the basic climbing experience and also use the equipment.

There is a 95% success rate for the Yala peak climb. The journey starts from Kyanjin Gompa and it goes ahead. First, we climb to Tsergo Ri, which is a steep climb.

Following that, the trail splits to the left and takes you to a vast, beautiful meadow. It is from this place that we start the climb the next morning. Crossing through the gravelly and rocky trail, we summit Yala Peak.

Routes For Yala Peak Trek

In case you are wondering, the Yala Peak trek has different routes to go to the top. With the success rate of more than 90% it is easier to climb Yala Peak from any side you wish to do.

If you have previous trekking experience, we suggest you go for the south ridge climb. Meanwhile, the North ridge climb is a longer and more difficult route for the Yala Peak trek.

Starting from the Gokyo village, this journey heads towards the northern side of the Ngozumpa glacier. Following the glacier, you will be going for the Yala peak climb. You will need to be highly experienced to get through North Ridge.

The West ridge for the Yala peak trek starts from Lukla village. This is one of the shortest and easiest routes to the top. Starting from Lukla, you go to the western side of the Imja glacier.

This particular route is better for every trekker. Last but not least, we have the east ridge route for the Yala peak trek. The Trek Nepal assures you that the East Ridge is the most difficult and longest route.

Starting from the Dingboche village, you will head eastward toward the Lhotse glacier. Following the glacier, we will touch down on the east ridge of Yala Peak summit. Only try this side if you have experience in mountaineering.

Guides and Porters For Yala Peak Trek
