Detailed Itinerary for 10 days ABC trek
The 10-day Annapurna Base Camp trekking is all about the tough terrains, along with the easy walks at times. The overall trek is:
Day 1:Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, Trek to Ulleri
The early morning will start with a drive along the Pokhara-Baglung highway. After driving for about an hour, we will pass Nayapul and go towards Birethanti.
As we drive forward, we will be reaching Tikhedhunga and also get some beautiful landscape views. The trek starts from Tikhedhunga up to Ulleri for the first day.
Day 2: Ascending to Ghorepani
After having breakfast in Ulleri, we will go for the steep ascent. Trekking through the ascent, you will be reaching the scenic outlook of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and later Hiunchuli.
As you move ahead, there is a presence of rhododendron forest, and also the ridge that takes you ahead. If you are lucky, you will get to view Forktail and Kingfisher. Finally, we will be reaching Ghorepani, which is the village that rocks into history and culture.
Day 3:Poon Hill Sunrise and Trek to Tadapani
Dont forget to take a look at the astounding sunrise that will leave you spellbound. Yes, we are talking about the sunrise of Poonhill. This beyond-the-hills sunrise is a spectacle to say the least.

Day 4:Descending to Chhomrong
Walking alongside the Kyumnu Khola and the suspension bridge would mean that you will be heading towards the Chhromrong descent. The journey will move towards Gurjung village, and there is a ridge that’s beautiful.
It is shrouded and covered by oak forests in the delight of beautiful rhododendrons. Go through the terrace field and the hills, and finally, you will reach Chhomrong. This is a well-known Gurung village. Try and interact with the local community, explore the town, and also view the flora and fauna.
Day 5:Trek to Dovan
Early morning on the 5th day of the Annapurna Base Camp trekking is about the trek’s consistency towards Dovan. You will walk gently through the stone stairs that will lead you to the Chhomrong River. Later, you will be crossing the bridge of the Chhomrong River.
A lush bamboo and oak forest would mean that you will be running through some beautiful greenery. If you are lucky, there is a chance to spot Langur monkeys and beautiful plants.
The next stop is Sinuwa, and the climb off the stairs will push you to Bamboo. Crossing Bamboo and getting the surreal views means that Dovan has arrived.
Day 6:Trek to Deurali
Similar to the Poonhill sunrise, you will have an option to view the sunrise from Machhapuchhre Mountain. As the trailhead starts, the trek goes ahead.
You will be passing through the Bamboo forest on a very steep and narrow path. Meanwhile, this is one of the most beautiful routes with stunning mountains for a backdrop and the rocky gorges on the loop.
Get ahead in the trek with steep ascent, and you will be reaching Deurali by the end of the day. Deurali is a charming village situated at the feet of Machhapuchhre and Modi Himal.
Day 7:Ascend to Annapurna Base Camp through Machhapuchre Base Camp
Finally, the day is here when you will be touching the heights of the Annapurna Base Camp trekking. Setting off through the beautiful adventure, we will be walking over steep terrain alongside the river. First, we will be reaching Machhapuchhre Base Camp.
Going ahead, the trail gets higher gradually between the moranies of Annapurna and Hiunchuli. Lastly, you will be noticing the irresistible views of Baraha Shikar and Machhapuchhre.

Day 8:Return Journey to Bamboo

Day 9:Bamboo to Jhinu, Rejuvenating in Hot Springs “Tato Pani”
We might be returning, but the fun doesn’t end. Crossing Bamboo, we will have a detour to Chhomrong in the Annapurna Base Camp trekking. The walk alongside the Chhomrong River means that we will be coming around Jhinu Danda.
Naturally, Jhinu Danda is a ridgetop village popular for the hot water spring. All the tired legs and body will get a massive rest during the Jhinu Danda hike. Trekkers will immerse themselves in it.
Day 10:Trek from Jhinu to Tolkha and Transfer to Pokhara
The last day of the trek means that we will be tracing towards Pokhara. Having the early morning breakfast at Jhinu Danda, we will be following the terrace field.
Slowly, we will reach Tolkha, which is a beautiful village with great greenery. Lastly, we will get a bus from here to Pokhara and end the Annapurna Base Camp trekking.
