Detailed Itinerary for 7 Days ABC Trek

As the Annapurna trekking is only a 7-day adventure, you will need to trek for more than 7 hours every day. Having said that, the itinerary might look a bit tighter.

Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Bikash Danda and walk  to Ghandruk

The first day of the trek is all about the drive from Pokhara to Bikash Danda. You will have beautiful views of Annapurna and Manaslu during the drive. After 3 hours of driving, we will reach Kyu Mi Danda through Nayapul.

This is the exact spot where you will be starting your journey. After the trek starts, you will be walking through the tough terrains, and after 3 hours of the trek, you will be reaching Ghandruk. Authentic villages and paddy fields welcome you.

Day 2: Trek from Ghandruk to Upper Sinuwa

After completing the early morning breakfast at Ghandruk, we will move towards Upper Sinuwa. There is a major ascent during the trek with Upper Sinuwa providing challenges. As the trail is hard, it takes around 8 hours.

Lunch and tea break will be provided on the way. Kimrung Danda, Kimrung River, and Chhomrong village are the landmarks by whereby we reach Sinuwa. Trekkers will also be interacting with the local Gurung people. Chhomrong village is one of the biggest and oldest villages of this trek.

Day 3: Trek from Upper Sinuwa to Deurali

One of the toughest days of the trek is the 3rd day. Early morning breakfast at Upper Sinuwa starts the journey. It is an uphill journey. Cool air means that we are getting elevated. Slowly, we will be reaching Annapurna Sanctuary. Reaching towards the sanctuary, you will come across Bamboo, Dovan, and even the Himalayas.

Slow and steady, we will be walking in and out of the rhododendron forest. There are local guest houses in the area with glaciers, moraine, and beautiful views all around. You will also get through Machapuchhre Base Camp to push towards Annapurna trekking. By the end of the day, we will be at a guesthouse in Deurali.

Day 4: Trek from Deurali To Annapurna Base Camp

Today we will be touching 3900m and also the area of Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From the Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you will be walking 730m to reach Annapurna Base Camp. The fishtail mountain provides beauty for the trekkers and also brilliant views of Annapurna.

As you walk through Annapurna Base Camp, you will get snowcapped mountain views that will leave you mesmerized. Enjoy the fresh evening underneath the base camp, stars, and even the startling mountain.

Day 5: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo

Annapurna trekking goes backward now. As we touch the Annapurna Base Camp, we will be returning. The first pit backwards will be Bamboo. You will need to walk carefully, even though the trail looks simple.

Crossing landmarks like Dovan, Deurali, we will be reaching Bamboo by the end of the day. There are major ups and downs during the journey backwards. However serene forest at the Bamboo reason will make you forget all the pain. Take a hot shower, and things look brilliant.

Day 6: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda

Annapurna trekking on the 6th day will take you far from ABC and closer to Pokhara. Short steep on the 6th day will take you to Sinuwa Danda. Slowly, we descend towards Chhomrong Khola. As we reach the village for lunch, the ridge will finally take us to Jhinu Danda.

Jhinu Danda is one of the most popular places for hot water springs. You can enter the water source and delete all the stress that was accumulated during the trek. With 4 ponds of hot water, you can enjoy and relax. We spend the night at Jhinu Danda.

Day 7: Trek to Samrung Khola and drive to Pokhara

On the very last day, we will be returning to Pokhara. Right from Jhinu Danda we will be reaching towards Samrung Khola. It is through the suspension bridge. It is at the Samrung bridge that we will be taking a local jeep to reach Pokhara.

4-hour drive means that we will reach Pokhara. Kimrung Village, Syauli Bazaar, Birethati, Nayapul, Kande ,and later Pokhara will be the route we follow. Finally the 7 day Annapurna trek will be over.
