Details About 1 Week Annapurna Base Camp Escape
- Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk
The first day of the trek starts with a drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. Actual trek starts from Birethanti, which is a tourist checkpoint. The trek moves towards Kimche, which passes through the quaint village of Sauli Bazaar. Crossing Khumnu Khola means that we will be reaching the Gurung town of Ghandruk.
- Day 2: Trek to Chhomrong from Ghandruk
In the Panchakarma retreat with trekking, we will be moving towards Chhomrong on the second day. Descending from Ghandruk village to Kyuri Khola and later to Kimrong Danda means that the journey is uneven. Ultimately, you will be reaching Chhomrong after 6 hours of trek.
- Day 3: Trek to the Himalayas
As the trail drops down to Chhomrong River, we continue to climb towards Khuldighar. As we move forward, the roads get tougher with forests being lesser and lesser. As you cross the rocky paths, you will reach Bamboo and later to Himalayan hotel.
- Day 4: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp, via Macchapuchhre Base Camp
On the 4th day, we will be touching down at ABC, going through the Machhapuchhre Base Camp region. We pass through Hiknu Cave, Deurali, and later to ABC. Annapurna I, Khangsar Kang, Gangapurna, and Annapurna III are some of the best views. We will stay the night there.
- Day 5: Trek back to Bamboo
As we leave ABC behind in the Panchakarma retreat with trekking journey, we will move back to Bamboo. We come towards lush green vegetation and stay the night at Bamboo.
- Day 6: Trek to Jhinu Danda
After the early morning breakfast, we will move towards Chhomrong and cross it. We will reach Jhinu Danda. This is an excellent opportunity to spend time at the hot spring water place, relaxing the muscles.
- Day 7: Trek to Nayapul and reach Pokhara
On the very last day, we will be moving out of Jhinu Danda. An easy trail of 5 hours takes us to Birethanti. We will take a ride from Nayapul to Pokhara.
