In a bid to make the aim of bringing 2 million tourists successful the government has kicked off the preparation to endorse Nepal as the nation of tourism and vacation by endorsing the local beautiful places and all in all the tourism sector.
However, after the 2015 earthquake, the tourism sector was rattled therefore the number of tourists visiting the nation in 2016 almost halved. Whereas the situation was not as it was thought, only 12 out of 77 districts were affected and all the tourist destinations were fit to unravel.

Likewise, Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa and Pokhara International airport is also built at a faster pace.
It is estimated that the Bhairahawa airport will be built in the first half of 2020 A.D. additionally; the Kathmandu International Airport is slated to operate round the clock. Besides the construction of the Airport, the renovation and reconstruction of the cultural heritage sites are being constructed at a faster pace. The government plans to complete all the renovation and reconstruction work in the last quarter of 2019.
The different campaigns are launched targeting Visit Nepal 2020, some of the popular programs include ‘Visit Nepal Europe’ and ‘Visit Nepal America’ in many European and American nations which has huge support from Nepalese diaspora including diplomats and ambassadors. Several projects are running in the hotel industry, it is estimated that almost 4000 rooms will be added in the four and five-star hotels.
The major cities will boost the hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Bhairahawa, which receives a large number of tourists every year as compared to other major towns of Nepal. The international chain hotels like Marriot, DoubleTree, Hilton have begun operating the hotels in Nepal.
Likewise, many eastern and western nations have pledged to send tourists from their respective countries. Furthermore, many nations have done air service agreements with the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and many airlines have beefed up the flight frequency to cater to the demand for the number of tourists visiting Nepal. Nepal Airlines, the flag carrier of Nepal has started the direct flight to Japan and another Nepalese airline’s Himalayan airlines have linked Kathmandu with Beijing.
